Professional Fees

Your private insurance, UBC student insurance or provincial health plan may cover some or all of these professional fees.

YES! We direct bill UBC student insurance! Whenever possible, we will deduct the covered amount from your invoice.

Student Eye Exams
  • Comprehensive exam $125
  • With contact lenses $145
Youth Eye Exams (0-18)
  • Age 0-12: Covered with MSP
  • Age 13-18: $40 co-pay w/MSP
  • Contact lens wearer: add $20
Adult Eye Exams
  • Comprehensive exam $158
  • With contact lenses $178
Contact Lens Fitting
  • Included with contact lens exam
  • Advanced multifocal/toric fits start at $75
  • Fit without exam (outside prescription) starts at $79
  • First time wearers must complete training (add $50)
Eye Health Concerns
  • Many eye health concerns are partially covered by MSP (BC Health), with $40 co-pay for initial appointment, MSP covers follow-ups
  • Uninsured visits $75, includes one follow-up if needed
