Dr. Tammy Brauner studied at the State University of New York, College of Optometry where she graduated with a Doctor of Optometry, earning honours both academically and for serving her optometric community.
Dr. Brauner has received extensive training in the areas of specialty contact lenses, binocular vision and vision therapy, pediatrics, ocular disease, and geriatrics – travelling to clinics and hospitals across the US for her training. Her special areas of interest include: contact lenses and specialty contact lenses including bifocal contacts, keratoconic lenses, post-surgical lenses, and corneal refractive contact lenses.
Dr. Brauner is a member of the Gold Key Optometric Honour Society and received the NYSOA Auxiliary Award in 2013. During her studies, Dr. Brauner was a member of the Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Society, was named to the Dean’s List every semester, and was Class President for the duration of her optometric education.
