Certain exams require one or more follow-up appointments.
In most cases (such as contact lens fittings), these follow-ups are provided at no charge as long as they are completed within a certain time of the original appointment date. Specifically:
- Contact lens follow-ups are included within 3 months (90 days) of the comprehensive exam or original contact lens fitting.
- Contact lens training includes a single training session. Repeated or additional sessions require additional fees.
- Prescription re-checks will be performed one time at no charge within 90 days of the original exam.
Beyond these time periods, or for additional visits, standard office visit fees may be charged.
If you do not complete the contact lens fitting process within 90 days, you will be required to repeat and pay for a new comprehensive eye exam and/or contact lens fitting in order to finalize a contact lens prescription.
In most cases, a prescription (i.e. for contact lenses) cannot be issued until all necessary follow-up appoinment(s) are completed.
